An EATdot School

All over the UK EATdot is privileged to be working alongside Secondary and Primary Schools who have chosen to manage their own food services.

The optional bright and vibrant makeover of dining areas, coupled with the EATdot signage and point of sale marketing, is just the 'front end' of a vibrant and refreshing approach to school meals.

Since 1999 we have been supporting schools to deliver an unparalleled quality of service and an exciting and attractive food offer. We have always been ahead of the game and our menus are already compliant with forthcoming legislation and produced at a cost that really can be associated with the words 'best value'. We have worked closely with the School Food Trust to ensure that our schools work within all the latest best practice guidelines.

Fundamental Issues

Of course, food is at the centre of any school catering department but the behind the scenes support we deliver enables Schools to really fulfil their potential. From the recommended business and accounting processes to our procurement systems, secure website support and the 'human' interaction with EATdot Advisers and our central marketing team. Everything we do is focussed on supporting Schools to maximise the benefits of an 'In-House' food service operation.

We work hard to make sure every School feels part of a nationwide team, with a sense of belonging and purpose, sharing best practice and making the most of the opportunity to excel by producing food that your consumers want to eat.

EATdot Apron

EATdot Advisers are experienced in managing a service change from either a Contractor or Local Authority and they are ready to meet with you to explore the possibilities.

When a School operates the EATdot concept, students are attracted by a range of modern signage and an optional makeover of the food service area. Perhaps more importantly, they are treated as "real consumers" with targeted internal marketing campaigns, a high standard of food, and staff who understand customer service ~ a retail approach. Ongoing support is provided to drive operational excellence.

Food Focus Groups have, without exception, reported an improvement in food quality, portions and general service levels. Even within the constrained environment within school food services now operate EATdot has managed to balance the need for enticing, carefully developed and nutritionally dense menus with the requirement to improve school meal uptake. This, along with comprehensive support frameworks and advisory information (much of which can be downloaded from the Internet), results in an improved, professional and viable approach to the delivery of your food services.

EATdot has been developed to be completely flexible so that it will meet the needs of every potential scenario. Current operating units range from "hole in the wall" serving hatches to modern serveries - in every case the effect has been outstanding.
