The financial economies that will be made by bringing your School's food service In-House cannot be ignored. Some Schools are reporting savings running into tens of thousands of pounds, and with set-up and transition costs minimal, the move to In-House is definitely being seen as the way ahead for many forward thinking Heads and Governing Bodies.
Those already running successful In-House catering operations will accept that they have not achieved that position totally unaided. Most will acknowledge that successful catering requires a degree of specialist input and they recognise that expertise brought in at the outset, and then maintained as required, will allow the In-House team to thrive and take control of the School food services and its finances effectively.
